In this section, we will give you an overview of Life in the Country, so that you can get an idea of how life in a rural setting differs from life in an urban setting.
Many people who move from perhaps a difficult environment say that moving to the country has given them “ a new lease of life”; “a fresh start”; “a lack of threat or intimidation”; “greater personal safety”; Many who were slow to get involved in FÁS courses and VTOS courses before moving have felt motivated to do so after moving.
Moving is a positive step and a major decision for all people. In most cases the positive motivation continues and people create the opportunity in their own lives to explore their personal potential as never before.
Small communities welcome positive people who have the drive and enthusiasm to make beneficial changes for the youth, for sport and for community life in general.
